On November 25 2010 the Rotary Club of Guelph South hosted a special breakfast meeting with some of the sponsors and beneficiaries of the October 2010 "Grate Groan-Up Spelling Bee".....

   TITLE SPONSOR HAMMOND POWER SOLUTIONS was represented by Larry Lichty.

   GOLD SPONSOR Tom Bird & Jay Elinesky (BIRD/ELINESKY WEALTH MANAGEMENT TEAM, RBC DOMINION SECURITIES) also attended, and Tom spoke about his experience with the event in the 5 years that it has been held (including a couple of memorable ones as a member of a team!).

   SILVER SPONSOR THE CO-OPERATORS was represented by Lynn Mountford.   CHEERLEADER BEE SPONSORS were also in attendane including Garry Ransom (UPS Store #82 Silvercreek Parkway Guelph), Mike Swan (Swan Moving & Storage) and Bill Hamilton (Hamilton's Corner Garage) also joined us.   Spelling Bee mascot "BUZZ" even made an appearance!

 The Spelling Bee itself was an unqualified success, and consequently the Club, represented by President Frank Oudesluys & Service Projects Committee Chair Paul Moran, was pleased to make the following cheque presentations: JOHN OOSTERHUIS & KAREN CALZONETTI of Hopewell Children's Homes Playsense Activity Centre ($4,000) ROSEMARIE COOMBS of Michael House ($4,000) Proceeds from the Spelling Bee will continue to be used to support worthwhile local charities and Rotary projects.
