Olive Tree Projects Records Digitization Project

Rotarian Celia Clark will give us an update on an international project, originally approved in early 2025, that has been ongoing to create a custom database management system for migrating paper-based patient medical records for a maternal health clinic in Haiti to a cloud-based system that will be more secure in case of a disaster, that can be used to provide measurable and timely insights into the clinic's impact,  and that can be shared with a hospital if needed.  Our club funded the 5-year Filemaker DBMS software license, while the Guelph Trilium club provided funding towards a 5-year license for a cloud hosting service.  Celia developed custom templates for records to be captured to fit the needs of the clinic's midwives and nurses, and the system is undergoing final commissioning and training - an impressive international Vocational Service project!
