Celebrating 24 Years of Service
The Rotary Club of Guelph South was chartered by Rotary International on July 31 2001, originally under the name Rotary Club of Wellington South.

In March 2007, our club name was changed to Rotary Club of Guelph South to allow us to be grouped in Rotary International Directories and on the Rotary International Website with the other 3 Guelph clubs (Rotary Club of Guelph, Rotary Club of Guelph-Wellington, and our sponsor club, Rotary Club of Guelph-Trillium) in our region. The name change also ends the confusion with another Rotary Club of Wellington South in Wellington, New Zealand!
And...we try to have fun in everything that we do!

It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I step into the role of President this year. The Rotary International theme, "Unite for Good" resonates deeply with our mission and amplifies the impact we can make together.
This year, as we come together, I invite each of you to consider how we can harness our collective strength to fund initiatives that matter. Our current fundraisers—Tour de Guelph, Pasta Dinner, Brunch at the Arboretum and now the Scrabble Party, have not only generated vital resources but have also united us in the spirit of service. Each dollar raised is a seed planted for hope, growth, and change in our community.
Building on our achievements, our club has also extended its outreach to include more community service (Chalmers and Adopt-a-Family have been exponentially expanded) and I encourage our club to continue with these efforts. Let’s tap into our creativity and connections to find new ways to bring our community together. Picture collaborating on projects that not only support our established causes but also spark fresh ideas, ignite enthusiasm among our members, and cultivate partnerships within our community.
In uniting for good, we can build a culture of generosity that resonates within our club and beyond. Let’s reach out to fellow members, embrace their ideas, and create a supportive environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute. By building stronger connections, we will not only enhance our own camaraderie but also encourage that same kind of energy and spirit within the Guelph community.
I also encourage each of you to share your passion for Rotary with others. By showcasing the meaningful work we do, we can attract individuals who share our vision for a better world. Together, we can nurture a sense of belonging, enabling our club to grow and thrive.
Let’s make this year remarkable—one where we unite for good, recruit a few new great members, elevate our fundraising efforts, and expand our impact both locally and globally. Together, we can create hope and drive positive change in the world.
Thank you for your commitment to service and for being a part of this incredible journey.
