Celebrating 25 Years of Service
The Rotary Club of Guelph South was chartered by Rotary International on July 31 2001, originally under the name Rotary Club of Wellington South.
In March 2007, our club name was changed to Rotary Club of Guelph South to allow us to be grouped in Rotary International Directories and on the Rotary International Website with the other 3 Guelph clubs (Rotary Club of Guelph, Rotary Club of Guelph-Wellington, and our sponsor club, Rotary Club of Guelph Trillium) in our region. The name change also ended the confusion with another Rotary Club of Wellington South in Wellington, New Zealand.
On July 31 2026 we proudly mark the 25th anniversary of our charter, and with 6 of the original 20 charter members still members today.

A Year of Connection, Purpose, and Action
Warm greetings, Rotary friends and community partners. As we begin the 2026–2027 Rotary year, I’m filled with gratitude for the trust you’ve placed in me, and grateful for the privilege of serving our club and community with tremendous optimism for what lies ahead.
Our club has always been a place where service, fellowship, and purpose come together — and in the months ahead, we have new opportunities to deepen that impact in meaningful, measurable ways.
This year, my goal is simple: to ensure that every member feels valued, inspired, and connected. Whether you’ve been a Rotarian for decades or if you’ve just joined us, your voice and your passion matter. We will celebrate our traditions while embracing new ways to serve — and we’ll do it with the warmth and fun camaraderie that defines our club.
District 7080 clubs will be prioritizing collaborative service, membership engagement, and innovation in fundraising, encouraging clubs to work together, welcome new voices, and modernize how we serve.
Globally, Rotary International continues to emphasize community resilience, peacebuilding, and climate adaptation — themes that speak directly to the challenges and hopes of our time.
These priorities remind us that Rotary’s work is not only about solving today’s issues — it’s about preparing communities for tomorrow. Together, we must strengthen partnerships, elevate our projects, and continue making a meaningful difference here in Guelph and beyond.
I’m honoured to serve alongside each of you and look forward to making 2026–2027 a year of bold service, fun and fellowship, and to Create Lasting Impact together.
