We will welcome the sponsors, volunteers and representatives of the 5 charities supported at the 2026 "Lunch At The Arboretum" and will present the charities with their cheques.

Rotary has always had a long-standing tradition of asking new members to give a “classification talk” – to tell a story to introduce themselves. Every Rotarian has a story. Why you joined, why you stay, how your involvement, your service, or your friends add to your life – it’s all there. Why tell it? Because it gives the members a chance to learn about what Rotary means to you, strengthen your bonds with other Rotarians and deepen your club’s sense of community.  This week one of our newest members, Mary Quimby-Edwards, will give her Classification Talk, providing us with some insight into her life beyond Rotary.

The Membership Committee will provide an update on new membership options recently approved by the Board of Directors.

We will welcome 2026-2027 District Governor Uche Ugoku as he makes his first visit to our Rotary club and provides us with an update on the District's goals for the 2026-2027 Rotary year.

Our regular weekly breakfast meeting is being withheld this week.  Instead our members will be able to join members of the other 3 Guelph clubs for a special holiday dinner celebration that evening at Springfield Golf & Country Club.

Join us for a joint Rotary Holiday Party this year, an opportunity to celebrate the season with other Guelph Rotarians.  This will replace our regular weekly breakfast meeting

This meeting will focus on holding the Annual Members Meeting along with the Election of the 2027-2028 Board of Directors and appointment of the 2027-2028 Officers.

Our Rotary Club has for many years hosted a Christmas Kettle for the Salvation Army for a day during the holiday season at Stone Road Mall.  Typically volunteers work 2 hour shifts, with hopefully 2 volunteers per shift.  Anyone who has done it in the past will attest to what a wonderful experience it is, as so many of those making contributions to the kettles also share their personal stories and reasons for gladly making the contribution.

We'll share one final breakfast and fellowship together before the break for the Christmas/New Years holidays.
