From May 6th to 8th, 3 senior students from Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School that we sponsored attended the 2014 Camp Enterprise residential program at the University of Waterloo.     Our Rotary Club has sponsored at least 3-4 students to attend this camp every year.

Camp Enterprise Golden Triangle is a cooperative effort between multiple Rotary Clubs (including Rotary Club of Guelph South) in the ‘Golden Triangle’ region surrounding Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph, Waterloo and Fergus. Selected students have the opportunity, at no cost, to attend a 3 day immersive camp at the University of Waterloo about business and entrepreneurship. Students get to attend keynote speaker lectures and participate in collaborative activities culminating in a business plan presentation at the end of camp.  More information, programme, photos etc are available on the website www.rotarycampenterprise.com.
Our Youth Service Committee Chair, Karen Dowell, quarterbacked our Club's involvement in the camp and had the assistance of other Club members (who transported students, acted as chaperones, etc) and the Guidance Department at Bishop Mac in the selection of the 3 students sponsored for the 2014 camp.
We look forward to welcoming the 3 students (Harry Sivashankaran, Raechel Mills and Alex Varney) to our May 22nd 2014 weekly meeting where they will tell us about their experience at the 2014 event.

(I had a great time at the Golden Triangle's Camp Enterprise last week. It was great to see the students' business plans come together from beginning to end. They did a great job and I look
forward to helping out again next year!
