DONATION TO SUNRISE THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTRE
The Rotary Club of Guelph South was pleased to be able to provide a donation of $4,000 to the Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & Learning Centre, located in Puslinch Township, at its March 19 2009 weekly meeting...
Scott Van Engen, President of the Board of Directors of Sunrise, accepted the cheque from President Karen Dowell. The donation represents the proceeds from the very successful 2009 "Taste of Italy" Pasta Dinner that was held on February 20th in Puslinch.
The downturn in the economy is having an effect on non-profit charitable organizations like Sunrise, in particular because they do not get government funding for their very valuable programs. Scott explained how the donation was very timely and would go towards the cost of maintaining their therapy horses in the program.
Our Rotary Club is proud to be able to support the good works of fine local organizations like Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & Learning Centre.
