On December 15 2022 during our weekly meeting we were pleased to be able to welcome representatives from 10 charitable organizations and present them with donations - a total of $11,000. Organized by our Service Projects Committee, the organizations designated to be honoured included: Michael House, Childrens' Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Elora House, Big Brothers Big Sisters Guelph, Tree Trust Guelph and Amarok Society. Committee Co-Chair Richard Van Dyke welcomed the representatives and announced the donations being made to each on behalf of the club.
We were touched to receive a special "thank you" card from the Amarok Society, from the mother in Bangladesh who is taught by Amarok Society and who then teaches children in her community. Our donation goes towards educating the mothers who then can pass on that knowledge to the local children.
