We're proud to welcome Lauren as our newest Rotarian! Lauren was introduced to the club by Rotarian Celia Clark who will act as her sponsor. Lauren is not a stranger to many members, having attended meetings and volunteered at events, and in fact is our first “Friend of Rotary” to make the move to becoming a full Rotarian and Active Member of our Rotary Club.
Lauren is a certified accountant and Quickbooks Pro Consultant, working as a manager in public accounting at BDO Canada in Guelph since graduating university. She loves being involved in the community including her involvement with not-for-profits like the Guelph Tool Library and the Our Neighbourhood food cupboard. She also did a wonderful job with the bookkeeping for the Food4Kids Guelph program while it was a Rotary-led initiative, and she was the recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow award in June 2025 in appreciation for all her efforts. She has been a real asset to our Rotary club already in helping Treasurer Celia with the migration of our accounting records to the new Quickbooks package, and we're pleased that her interactions with Celia and other members of our club has led her to realize the value of a full Rotary membership. She's also a busy mom with 2 kids and juggling a hockey schedule for one of them. We'll look forward to hearing more about Lauren's life when she does her Classification Talk.
