World Polio Day is celebrated on October 24th each year, and the Guelph event was one of more than 3,000 held around the world.  It celebrates Rotary's involvement in the eradication of this disease, spanning more than 30 years now, resulting in it only being endemic in 3 countries in the world (Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan).

We are closer than ever to creating a polio-free world!
