A beautiful summer day saw a record-setting 900+ ridership in the 13th Annual “Tour de Guelph” community cycling event held on Sunday June 28th. Thanks to corporate sponsors Label Design and Denso, the organizing team, volunteers and riders for another great event that promises to set another fundraising record! The fundraising goal for 2026 is $230,000 and donations will continue to be accepted online at www.tourdeguelph.ca until Sunday July 12th.

Rotary Club of Guelph South, Rotary Club of Guelph Trillium and the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital teamed up again this year to organize the event. A portion of proceeds from the 2026 Tour de Guelph will support Phase 2 construction and equipment costs for Guelph General Hospital’s new Speedvale Campus. Phase 1 opened in March, providing expanded access to diagnostic imaging services, including a much-needed second MRI for our community to help improve access and reduce wait times. As well, a portion of the proceeds will support many other local charities through the Rotary Clubs of Guelph South and Guelph Trillium.
Rotary Club of Guelph South was proud to have so many volunteers involved with the event again this year - and one of our members, the incredible Charlie Barnes, 88 years young, was once again the top individual fundraiser with $34,000 in donations pledged, for a 9-year fundraising total of over $164,000!
