On Saturday December 6th a number of club members stood with the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle at Stone Road Mall.  We have been happy to help the Guelph Salvation Army Citadel with this campaign for many years.  It is heartening to meet the folks who need no encouragement, who come willingly to the Kettle to make their contributions - to hear their stories of why they so willingly support the Army. And in particular the adults who encourage the youngsters with them to put some coins into the Kettle, impressing on them at a young age the spirit of giving, the true spirit of the season!

Not far from the Salvation Army Kettle there was a large table of wrapping materials, and members of the Rotaract Club of Guelph - most of whom are in the middle of writing final papers and exams - were there, wrapping gifts for mall shoppers and collecting proceeds for the Guelph Food Bank.
